Featuring a state-of-the-art Gaming Room, one of Brisbane's greenest and most inviting Beer Gardens, a Sports Bar, Restaurant, a massive 200" LED TV wall, Kids Playground, Function Room, and a Deck overlooking the Gabba. Lord Stanley Hotel is fast becoming the premier hospitality destination in East Brisbane.

About the Role

The Hakfoort Group is seeking an accomplished and driven Assistant Manager to join our team at the Lord Stanley Hotel, East Brisbane. As the Assistant Manager you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the hotel. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations, fostering strong relationships with team members and customers, and maintaining a commitment to delivering exceptional experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assisting the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of hotel operations, including front-of-house, food and beverage, and housekeeping
  • Assist in staff training and development
  • Ensuring exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming environment for all patrons
  • Effectively managing and leading a team of hospitality professionals
  • Monitoring inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining financial records
  • Implementing and enforcing hotel policies and procedures
  • Identifying and addressing any operational issues or concerns in a timely manner
  • Actively contributing to the development and implementation of strategic plans to drive business growth and profitability
About You
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar Assistant Manager or supervisory role within the hospitality industry
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a commitment to providing a high-quality experience
  • Proficiency in financial management, including budgeting, inventory control, and cost-saving initiatives
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of relevant hospitality industry regulations and compliance requirements
