O'Brien Electrical & Plumbing Rowville is seeking candidates for a Customer Relations role. We are looking to fill this entry-level position by bringing on a fresh staff member whom we can train and develop into an experienced, competent office administrator.

O'Brien Electrical & Plumbing Rowville is a proud family of quality-focused trade service professionals in the electrical industry.

The position is varied, so you will never be bored, yet clearly defined so you will know your responsibilities and be able to manage your time accordingly.

PRIMARY PURPOSE

Assist in bringing in more business by communicating with new and existing customers.

Efficient management of inbound calls, outbound customer surveys, and debt collection.

Be the link between operational performance and marketing through customer service follow-up activities.

GENERAL FUNCTIONS AND TASKS

  • Respond to all inbound calls and inquiries for jobs.
  • Support improving stock accuracy and warranties.
  • Support employee engagement programs, e.g., toolbox meeting agendas/actions, keep whiteboard current.
  • Follow up on overdue debtors.
  • Follow up on sent quotes.
  • Identify opportunities for existing customers.
  • Set appointments for new clients (service, solar, construction).
  • Assist with online marketing (LinkedIn, social media).
  • Segment customers for email campaigns.
  • Conduct customer follow-up calls and surveys.
  • Handle calls regarding tenders and assist with tender preparations.
  • Support marketing efforts.
  • Engage in existing customer relations mining.
  • Participate in BNI meetings and trade shows.
  • Maintain office discretion and confidentiality at all times.

KEY CONTACTS

  • Internal: All O'Brien Rowville staff involved in operations, office, and admin functions.
  • External: Customers regarding job inquiries, debtors, and creditors concerning payments.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

  • Sound operations and administrative skills.
  • High computer literacy, especially with job management systems (e.g., Simpro) and MS Office (especially Excel).
  • Relevant qualifications in operations, sales, or administration are preferred but not essential.
  • Strong, professional work ethic.
  • Friendly, professional approach.
  • Proactive attitude.

MEASURE OF RESULTS

  • Debtors are kept up to date.
  • Jobs are generated from referral channels.
  • Jobs are generated from social media.
