Job Type: Full-time (Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
Travel: 5-15%
Position SummaryThis Payroll & Benefits Assistant will assist the Sr. Payroll/Benefits Analyst with the ongoing payroll and benefits operations. This position will also assist in conducting new hire orientation, maintaining payroll files, and assisting employees with department related questions/concerns. The Payroll & Benefits Assistant will assist with special projects as assigned. When necessary this position will assist the Human Resource Department in duties as deemed necessary by the Human Resources Director. This position is required to be professional and polite at all times and also required to protect the confidentiality of information, employees, prospective employees, & former employees per law and corporate requirements.
Essential Functions- Assist with maintenance of employee payroll/benefit files
- Conduct New Employee Orientation, including welcoming new employees, presentation of information, policy, paperwork, acknowledgement, and education
- Forward appropriate payroll information to Sr. Payroll/Benefit Analyst
- Follow all Labor Laws
- Follow legal and corporate requirements of protecting the confidentiality of employees, prospective employees, & former employees and the confidentiality of information we receive while doing our jobs
- Type and prepare correspondence
- Promote customer-driven excellence as a driver of organizational services
- Provide assistance to staff responsible for achieving objectives related to department operation
- Attend meetings as indicated by the Sr. Payroll/Benefits Analyst, Human Resource Director, and CFO
- Promote commitment to employee's success by assisting in the development of high-performance work practices
- Model professionalism and good work ethic
- Assist in other areas of Human Resources as requested by the Sr. Payroll/Benefits Analyst, Director of Human Resources, or CFO
- Reconcile and approve benefit bills
- Payroll/Benefits/Insurance
Education: High School Diploma
Experience: Preferred
Computer Skills: Computer knowledgeable. Able to search the internet for laws and HR/Payroll/Benefit related issues; Microsoft Word, Excel, and customized software
