Role

We are looking for a Finance Officer to join a State Government organisation on an initial 6 month contract with a potential to extend. Reporting to the Financial Accounting Lead, this role is responsible for delivering accurate and timely accounts payable and receivable functions.

Responsibilities
  • Process creditor and customer invoices, prepare payment batches.
  • Generate, issue, and manage invoices (including levy invoices), and monitor ageing reports for collections.
  • Complete bank reconciliations, support month-end close, and administer petty cash.
  • Liaise with staff, suppliers, and customers regarding payments, invoicing, and finance queries.
About you
  • Degree in Commerce, Accounting, or equivalent work experience (ideally Gov).
  • Solid accounts experience (AP/AR) with strong attention to detail and bookkeeping skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Dynamics 365 desirable.
Pay and employment

Base pay range: A$43.56/hr - A$49.15/hr
