What are we looking for?

With a long-term government contract already secured, and exciting opportunities arising to participate in some of Victoria's biggest infrastructure projects, we are seeking a Safety, Environment & Quality (SEQ) Manager to be involved throughout the complete project lifecycle.

What do we need from you?

The successful SEQ Manager will contribute to the ongoing success of our Barwon South West region. Delivering maintenance and minor construction projects, this role offers a great opportunity to lead with strong internal support, emphasizing a safety-first approach. You will mentor and develop workplace safety culture, develop and review IMS processes from the ground up, and foster an environment where all team members are engaged in safety on and off-site.

Key responsibilities include:
  1. Collaborate with the Fulton Hogan SEQ and Barwon South West leadership teams to meet division performance goals.
  2. Promote and support Fulton Hogan's Living Safely culture.
  3. Lead health, safety, and environmental initiatives in line with company standards and procedures, internally and across subcontractors.
  4. Implement and utilize consultation arrangements to ensure team input and feedback are actively sought and addressed.
  5. Provide internal and external reporting within required timeframes.
  6. Oversee monitoring, inspections, and auditing activities.
  7. Coordinate local safety and environmental training.
  8. Ensure compliance with systems and provide coaching where needed.
  9. Analyze incident data and conduct investigations.
Qualifications and experience:
  • Certificate IV or tertiary qualifications in OHS.
  • 5+ years' experience in civil, construction, or infrastructure maintenance roles.
  • Ability to build rapport with staff, crews, and clients.
  • Knowledge of environmental management strategies.
  • Understanding of cultural heritage management and protection strategies.
