The Field Installer Repairer plays a vital role in delivering end-to-end installation of Telstra's telecommunications networks. This position involves installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications equipment and networks, ensuring quality and customer satisfaction.
About the roleAs a Field Service Technician, you will work independently to activate and assure telecommunications and technology products and services at customer premises, in homes and businesses. You will collaborate with a diverse team to achieve optimal customer and commercial outcomes. Multiple positions are available across the country; candidates should reside in or be willing to relocate to the specified areas.

- Maintain and install copper cables, including fault finding, jointing, and jumpering.
- Manage fibre network technology, core network technology, and data services.
- Maintain and install customer premises equipment for both consumer and business clients.
- Perform fault finding over copper networks in rural or remote settings.
Candidates must hold and maintain relevant licenses and qualifications, including a current driver's license, and meet regulatory requirements:
- Certificate I/II in Telecommunications
- Open cabling license
- Traffic management qualifications
- Industry white card
Training support is available for traffic management and white card certificates. Vaccination against Covid-19 is required unless an exemption applies.
