**About the role**
We are currently recruiting for Powerline Worker in Moruya.
As a Powerline Worker, you will be responsible for the construction, installation, connection, maintenance, and repair of both high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) overhead and underground distribution network assets and equipment. Your duties will include performing switching and access permit operations, inspecting and testing network assets, and installing and connecting services and meters. You will operate relevant plant and equipment, follow company procedures, and ensure compliance with safety standards. This role is vital to maintaining our network's reliability and efficiency.
**About Moruya**
On the banks of the beautiful Moruya River in the Eurobodalla region of the NSW South Coast, Moruya is a beautiful area with a host of adventurous pursuits complemented by tranquil scenery and beautiful beaches. The area is rich in history with Quarry Park, just north of the town on the river, the site that provided the granite for many of Sydney’s landmarks including the pylons of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Moruya’s rich heritage and close-knit community make it a welcoming place to live and work.
**About You**
You bring valuable experience in electrical distribution networks, demonstrating expertise in construction, installation, and meticulous maintenance practices. Whether as a seasoned Powerline Worker or skilled Electrical Technician, you excel in executing critical switching operations with a strong emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance. Your proficiency extends to navigating challenges during both planned and unplanned events, reflecting your dedication to optimising network reliability and efficiency.
**Required Qualifications**
- Certificate III in ESI - Power Systems - Distribution Overhead or demonstrated capability through past employment experience and/or relevant qualifications.
- Drivers licence.
- WorkCover NSW Construction Induction Certificate.Attainment and ongoing successful maintenance of all regulatory, industry and business required licences, authorisations and other such certificates deemed necessary for the role.
