Chief Executive Officer - Zone Manufacturing

Zone Manufacturing is seeking an exceptional leader to join our executive team as Chief Executive Officer. We are a dynamic manufacturing company specialising in advanced composites with applications across marine, aerospace, and recreational vehicle sectors. With over 300 team members and a clear three-year growth strategy, we're looking for someone who can drive operational excellence while embodying our Summit Experience philosophy.

About The Role

You'll be responsible for leading the delivery of Zone Manufacturing's strategic and operational plans, working closely with our Founder/Managing Director to execute our ambitious growth and efficiency improvement roadmap. This is a hands-on leadership position requiring someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and has deep experience in manufacturing operations, financial management, and supply chain optimisation.

The successful candidate will champion our Summit Experience philosophy across all business units, ensuring teams deliver exceptional outcomes with an unwavering focus on commercial targets. You'll be instrumental in taking Zone to a market-leading position through operational excellence while building strategic relationships with industry partners and stakeholders.

What You'll Do

Strategic Leadership
  • Drive delivery of fiscal results and shareholder objectives
  • Lead transformational change across multiple business units
  • Foster innovation and cross-business collaboration
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with industry bodies, suppliers, and partners

Operational Excellence
  • Leverage our composites competitive advantage across marine, aerospace, and RV applications
  • Drive IP transfer between business units and foster innovation in composite construction
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace, automotive, and RV regulations
  • Oversee production planning and capacity management
  • Maintain workplace safety standards and environmental compliance

Commercial Performance
  • Drive revenue growth and margin improvement through operational efficiency
  • Ensure on-target financial performance and delivery of shareholder objectives
  • Champion exceptional customer service aligned with our Summit Experience philosophy

Digital Integration
  • Ensure digital technology underpins business standards, financial controls, and scalability
  • Drive integration of digital technologies with advanced manufacturing and 3D printing capabilities

People Leadership
  • Inspire organisational improvement across all business units
  • Foster a culture of innovation and high performance
  • Champion employee engagement and career advancement
  • Lead by example with personal commitment to adventure, innovation, and quality

What We're Looking For
  • We need a proven leader with demonstrable experience in aerospace, automotive, or similar high-performance industries. You should have a track record of delivering to shareholder and market targets, with the transformational leadership skills to inspire organisational change.
  • Senior leadership experience in manufacturing, aerospace, or automotive sectors
  • Proven ability to deliver financial results and drive operational efficiency
  • Experience with supply chain management and cost of goods sold (COGS) optimisation
  • Strong background in digital transformation and technology integration
  • Track record of building high-performing teams and organisational cultures
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with comfort operating in a dynamic growth environment
  • Personal passion for adventure and high-performance engineering
  • Alignment with performance excellence and attention to detail
