We are currently looking for Communications Officers

Duties within Communications Officer Position Description

  • The role assists in the delivery of high quality, strategic and tactical communication plans through the provision of technical, content and administrative support, delivering appropriate campaigns and tools to inform and engage the Townsville community.
  • Deliver high quality, innovative and integrated marketing, communication and engagement services, products and collateral across relevant channels that engage, inform, and influence.
  • Assist in the development of organisation communication strategies and plans.
  • Manage external service providers to ensure compliance with procurement policies and products and services delivered meet specifications and deliver value for money outcomes.
  • Ensure council communication activities and channels include up to date, engaging and relevant information.
  • Assist in developing digital consultation opportunities through Councils online engagement platform.
    • Must have current unrestricted C Class drivers licence
    • Must be able to pass Police check
    • Must be able to pass Drug and Alcohol screening.
    • Must have a current Degree in Marketing or Communications or a minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
