This is an opportunity for someone with extensive customer service experience, an allied health background or case management experience to work with EML's Specialised Insurance business, Hospitality Industry Insurance (HII).
We provide industry specific workers compensation insurance to over 1600 accommodation hotels, pubs, and clubs in NSW.
This unique portfolio provides a rewarding and challenging opportunity in the NSW Workers Compensation Scheme.
Role Details As a Case Manager, you will work with a portfolio of physical and psychological claims, liaising with multiple stakeholders to manage the end-to-end claims process.
This may include determining the claim liability, managing treatment, processing payments, attending case conferences and implementing recovery and return to work outcomes.
Your empathetic and supportive approach will help injured workers navigate the recovery journey with confidence.
This will be a permanent, full-time position based in the Sydney office, with flexibility to work from home for up to 3 days per week.
Your Responsibilities Proactively managing mental health and physical claims, drawing on exceptional customer service and decision-making skills to help make a positive impact on someone's life every day Prepare and implement strategies within timeframes to achieve optimum outcomes and minimize claim costs Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to progress strategies and actions Facilitate active participation of the injured worker and their employer in return-to-work and recovery planning Proactively manage rehabilitation providers and approval of rehabilitation plans/wellness plans in accordance with guidelines Undertake ongoing reviews related to entitlements and payments About You Extensive experience in customer service Experience in allied health, rehabilitation or disability support (such as case management) is advantageous but not essential Demonstrates empathy and resilience when supporting injured workers Proactive, strategically focused and able to think creatively when engaging with stakeholders Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with customers Active listening and understanding of customer needs to enable recovery and return to work Passionate about helping people get their lives back What We Offer EML is an equal opportunity employer and supports diversity and inclusion.
