The Placemaking, Community Events and Activations team deliver an exciting and fast-paced portfolio that makes Campbelltown a vibrant and liveable city.
About the role:
The successful applicant will have a key role in leading, delivering and fostering 'Place' projects across the LGA.
It is a key senior role within the Placemaking, Community Events and Activations team.
This will be a great opportunity for a well-organised team player who is comfortable and competent when engaging and working with the community, as they are with their colleagues across the organisation.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following key skills and attributes:

Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or relevant job related experience in social and/or behavioural sciences, public policy, Placemaking, urban space development or similar area.
Demonstrated Local Government experience in coordinating place based projects using the project management methodology.
Sound understanding of and commitment to, contemporary community development in a place based context.
Experience in piloting new event and activation ideas.
Experience in coaching and mentoring staff.
Demonstrated experience working with and engaging multiple stakeholders to deliver and inform community projects.
Demonstrated understanding of place based processes and approaches.
Current Class C drivers licence.
Knowledge and demonstrated expertise in place based principles and practices.
Experience in planning, developing and implementing community projects.
Demonstrated ability to deliver strategic outcomes when problem solving and addressing community issues.
Experience in fostering and supporting formal and informal community partnerships at a local level.
Demonstrated experience in working across internal and external departments and units to create project groups or partnerships.
Experience of preparing reports, presentations and other media for senior staff, team members and external organisations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using online tools, web based programs and social media as a tool to promote community initiatives and manage funding programs.
