About the Role Work Pac is seeking an Approvals Planner to join Rio Tinto's Planning Readiness Team, based in Perth on a Monday–Friday roster.
This role supports Pilbara Operations by submitting and managing all ground access approvals for future drilling, track maintenance, and laydown areas.
You'll work closely with technical teams, government approvals, and heritage processes to ensure timely and accurate approvals that support long-term development.
Key Responsibilities Coordinate documentation (including GIS files) for internal submissions of strategic ground access approvals Collaborate with Readiness Specialists and technical teams to ensure submissions align with project scope Track and manage all resource development ground access submissions Submit heritage field survey requests for medium- and long-term drill plans Coordinate, prioritise, and escalate requests to meet heritage survey schedules Work with state government approvals to identify and track new clearing mechanisms Skills & Experience Commitment to safety for self and team Experience with GIS (Arc Pro or Arc Map highly regarded) Understanding of ground disturbance permitting and related legislation Strong planning or scheduling skills, ideally in a project environment Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Power Point) Current C Class Driver's Licence How to Apply: Click on the Apply button to submit your application or for more information please quoting the below reference number.
