With operations across multiple continents, this company plays a vital role in the food supply chain-cultivating, producing, and supplying high-quality ingredients to major food and beverage manufacturers.As part of their continued growth across Australia and New Zealand, they are seeking a Legal Counsel with 4-8 years' post-admission experience to join their collaborative in-house legal team.Job DescriptionReporting to the Head of Legal , Australia & New Zealand , this is a broad in-house role that supports the business locally, while offering the opportunity to contribute to global legal initiatives and cross-border projects.Key responsibilities include:Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a range of commercial contracts Advising on intellectual property, corporate governance, and employment law matters Supporting business stakeholders with timely, commercially aware legal advice Contributing to the continuous improvement of legal processes and contract frameworks Engaging in cross-functional collaboration on global legal initiatives and group-level matters The Successful ApplicantWe're looking for a proactive and commercially minded lawyer who thrives in a fast-paced, relationship-driven environment.
Ideally, you will bring:4-8 years' PAE, starting in a top-tier law firm, followed by in-house experience Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills Exposure to corporate and commercial law, with bonus points for IP or agribusiness experience A collaborative mindset and the confidence to advise a wide range of stakeholders A desire to work in-person with a close-knit team (5 days per week at the Melbourne HQ on St Kilda Road) This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer looking to grow their in-house career in a purpose-driven, global organisation with a strong local footprint.What's On OfferSalary $135,000-$155,000 + super Office with excellent, modern amenities, close to the city and opposite a tram stop.
Close relationship with highly experienced, senior lawyer with international experience.
