Due to their commitment to providing exceptional value and customer service, they now seek a proven Senior Sales / BDM with specific experience in the building industry in South Australia, particularly in reinforcing steel or concrete-related products and systems, to join their team.
Your role will involve proactively delivering the State's sales revenue and margin objectives for South Australia, as well as growing the company's profitability in line with overall strategy and objectives.
You will contribute to developing the business sales and marketing strategy, execute the sales plan, and build on the company's base sales volume, budget, and market share in the region.
This includes targeting and calling on customers, building strong relationships, winning business, and managing the sales process from start to finish, including collaboration with operations and the SA team.
The ideal candidate will have a proven background in sales within the building industry, specifically in reinforcing steel or concrete-related products, understanding reinforced concrete structures, applications (such as retaining walls, foundations, slabs, walls, columns), customer base, and the sector in South Australia.
You should have experience managing and developing major / key customers, conducting account analysis, and growing sales volume and revenue.
The candidate will be proactive, commercial, possess strong presentation, sales, and negotiation skills, be organized, resilient, and able to communicate effectively at all levels.
Flexibility, adaptability, IT literacy, and the ability to deliver real value to customers are essential.
You should enjoy working in a team environment and contribute to the success of the business in SA.
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
