The world-class project aimed to sustain production, minimise environmental impacts, strengthen long-term relationships with neighbouring communities and foster local economic developmentJob SummaryIn this role, you will be responsible for cost control, cost estimating, analysis and other project controls activities requiring a high degree of technical skill, with respect to a works package for an integrated engineering design, procurement and fabrication scope.Major ResponsibilitiesContributes to the preparation of contract documentation – including pricing schedules, method of measurement, and reporting requirements – in alignment with engineering scope of works - to support requests for proposals for high-complexity purchase orders and construction contracts.
Monitor the development of contractor's cost estimate deliverables to the required format and standard to enable you to complete trade-off and comparison.
Provides detailed, specialised cost analysis to complete the equalisation / normalisation of cost estimates and commercial proposals.
Integration of vendor estimates and proposals into the overall Project CAPEX cost estimate.
Monitors cost and commitment of assigned purchase orders and contract packages.
Assists with budget allocation and reporting/cost control for specific construction discipline or group of disciplines.
Identifies cost trends for management attention.
Education And Experience RequirementsRequires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesHighly experienced in bid evaluation and construction cost evaluation, including development of evaluation criteria.
Experience in construction cost estimating and logistics.
Experience in project cost engineering, including cost control and analysis, cost reporting, incurred cost assessment and conducting meetings.
Advanced level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and start-up work processes, as performed by Tier One construction contractors (EPC/EPCM).
Knowledge of engineering and construction management customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience.
Fluency in Mandarin language is beneficial.
Minerals process plant and materials handling experience is beneficial.
