Job Title: Cost Control Specialist
We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Cost Control Specialist. This role offers the opportunity to grow into a permanent position and has the potential to include working remotely.
About the Role
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely and accurate budgeting, forecasting, and cost reporting.
- Develop and maintain earned value and cost forecasts for projects.
- Assist project managers with systematic processes for effective controls and forecasting.
- Prepare monthly cost control reports and support internal and client reporting.
- Compile project documentation and assist with invoicing and payment claims.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement cost control enhancements.
- Support business performance improvements and financial management.
- Uphold occupational health, safety, and environmental standards.
Key Requirements
- Strong experience in project controls and/or cost accounting.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365), Microsoft Office, and accounting software.
- Background in engineering and construction.
- Understanding of project management principles including earned value, CPI, and SPI.
- Tertiary qualification in accounting.
