Job Description Prepare and review financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with Australian accounting standards.
Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and reporting.
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions to maintain smooth financial operations.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including GST and BAS lodgements.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation.
Continuously identify and implement process improvements in financial operations.
The Successful Applicant A successful Accountant or Senior Accountant should have: A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional membership or working towards CPA or CA accreditation.
Big 4 or Mid tier Audit experience required.
Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
The ability to communicate effectively with financial and non-financial stakeholders.
Experience in the Energy & Natural Resources sector would be advantageous.
What's on Offer A competitive salary of AUD 90,000 to AUD 110,000 + Superannuation depending on experience.
