We're working on exciting building projects around transport hubs and are extending our reach into data centres, social infrastructure and defence projects.
This has created an opportunity for a Structural Engineer to join our national team and contribute to the growth and success of our business.
Role description: We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person who has demonstrated experience in contributing to the technical delivery of building design projects.
The ideal candidate will work across multi-discipline teams in social, commercial, defence, high-rise residential and retail sectors providing technical input to team members and delivering quality solutions to our clients.
Additionally, strong communication, report writing skills and an appreciation of commercial performance are highly desirable.
Role accountabilities: Delivery of structural design solutions on significant building projects in the social, commercial, defence and retail sectors; Display a level of autonomy, pro-activity and willingness to learn Providing mentoring where appropriate and technical advice to team members.
Reviewing and ensuring compliance in the components of the project for which responsible, including drawings, reports, specifications and studies, as well as the interfaces with other disciplines.
Building and maintaining effective relationships with team members and clients on projects.
Qualifications & Experience: First and foremost, you share our passion for improving quality of life.
You are a structural engineering professional with demonstrated capability in a design consulting environment.
You will come to us with: Experience using ETABS, RAPT and SPACEGASS (or similar) design software.
Additional demonstration of other program knowledge would be useful as would familiarity with Revit At least 3+ years design consulting experience Understanding of commercial matters Ability to think creatively in an innovative and entrepreneurial manner Demonstrated experience as a strong team player, invested in projects and outcomes, and able to contribute to and lead small teams and groups of people as required Recognized experience in delivery (or part delivery) of projects to clients through all project phases; and Engineering degree.
Chartered status, equivalent professional accreditation or post-graduate qualifications are an advantage.
