Senior Structural Engineer Role

This is a senior structural engineering position in a well-established consultancy.

  • The ideal candidate will have experience as a senior structural engineer with business unit management skills, or a principal structural engineer ready to step up to the next level. Future equity may be available for the right person.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate resources to execute work on time and within quality standards.
  • Manage and mentor engineers and drafters.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the business.
  • Coordinate and manage higher-level projects.
  • Manage clients, including some business development functions.

Requirements:

  • Impeccable verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • High-level technical ability in structural design, particularly in materials handling.
  • Bulk materials handling experience (shiploaders, stacker/reclaimers).
  • FEA modeling experience (e.g., Strand7 and SpaceGass).
  • Ability to lead and manage engineering teams.
  • Ability to develop new and foster existing client relationships.
  • Hold RPEQ and/or CPEng certifications.
