The Opportunity
Here you'll be intricately involved with mines and ports projects and managing a team with a pipeline of "blue-chip" work. Take ownership and put your stamp on the technical side of the business. Grow your career with a "ready-to-go" team.
Involved in ports, mines & heavy industry, you'll provide management support whilst managing the day-to-day needs of teams undertaking structural engineering designs, inspections, investigations, and repair designs for a range of clients and client sites.
This will be ideally suited to:
- An experienced Senior Structural Engineer with demonstrated business unit, team management, and engineering design skills, or
- A Principal Structural Engineer with design, technical, and people management skills, who is ready to step up to the next level. Future equity may be available for the right person.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate resources to execute work on time, within budget & quality standards
- Manage and mentor engineers and drafters
- Provide technical support and guidance to the business
- Coordinate and manage higher-level projects
- Manage clients, including some business development functions
Key Skills & Attributes
- Impeccable verbal, interpersonal & written communication skills
- High-level technical ability in structural design in materials handling
- Bulk materials handling experience (shiploaders, stacker/reclaimers AS4324)
- FEA modeling experience e.g., Strand7 and SpaceGass
- Ability to lead and manage engineering teams
- Ability to develop new and foster existing client relationships
- Hold RPEQ and/or CPEng
