About the Role An exciting opportunity exists for a Director of Sales to be part of the pre-opening team for the first Andaz hotel in Australia, located on the Gold Coast.
You will oversee the successful opening of the hotel and drive its sales performance and market positioning post-opening.
Key Responsibilities Maximize sales through the Sales & Marketing Department, collaborating with Rooms, Food and Beverage, and other revenue departments.
Develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate sales strategies to achieve and surpass revenue targets.
Set and oversee sales targets across market segments.
Lead, coach, and mentor the sales team for current performance and future development.
Build strong relationships with key corporate and leisure market contacts.
Participate in weekly yield and strategic meetings.
Manage key accounts and groups, devising strategies for pricing, inventory, and resource allocation.
Previous experience in a similar hotel industry role is essential; pre-opening experience is highly regarded.
University qualification in Business, Hospitality, or Sales & Marketing.
Proven success in team leadership and development.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and time management skills.
Results-driven with strong influencing abilities.
Strong analytical skills with data-driven decision-making.
Strategic thinking with problem-solving under pressure.
