About the Role An exciting opportunity exists for a Director of Sales to be part of the pre-opening team for the first Andaz hotel in Australia located on the Gold Coast.
You will be responsible for overseeing the successful opening of the hotel and, once open, driving the highest possible sales performance and commercial success of the hotel.
You will also position the hotel in the local marketplace through appropriate Sales & Marketing initiatives.
Some of the responsibilities include: Maximize sales through the activities of the Sales & Marketing Department, working closely with Rooms, Food and Beverage and other revenue-generating departments Develop, implement, monitor and evaluate the hotel's Sales strategies to achieve and exceed forecasted revenue figures Establish competitive sales targets for the Sales team across market segments.
Actively lead, coach and mentor all members of the Sales team to ensure they are equipped to do their job while also developing them for the future.
Establish strong and meaningful connections with key corporate and leisure market contacts Participate and help drive the weekly yield meetings and monthly strategic meetings Manage all key sales accounts and groups and deliver strategies for pricing, inventory and sales resources allocation Qualifications Previous experience in a similar role within the hotel industry is essential.
