Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Clinician such as a Psychologist, Counsellor, Social Worker or Allied Health professional.
Applicants must hold a registration with a governing body and have a minimum of one year's experience providing one-on-one counselling.
Experience in working with children under 12 and or group facilitation is highly desirable
The Mental Health Clinician will be responsible for providing high-quality health and wellbeing services to individuals as part of a new FSA delivered initiative to the regions of Lowood and Gatton.
Duties for this role will include psychological therapies and counselling; brief interventions and group therapies.
Service delivery may include both in-person and telehealth support, with consumers across the lifespan accessing Psychological Therapies as funded by the Darling Downs West Moreton PHN.
This applicant will be expected to work from FSA's newly established offices in Gatton and Lowood on scheduled workdays.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with consumers to develop personalised treatment plans based on evidence-based interventions.
Provide evidence-based individual and group therapy to address a range of mental health concerns.
Conduct regular progress reviews, evaluate treatment outcomes, and adjust intervention plans as necessary.
Collaborate and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care for clients.
Engage in care-coordination activities on a needed basis, including referrals, advocacy, and coordination of services.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in accordance with organisational policies and legal requirements.

Requirements

Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, such as Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Mental Health Nursing, or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health.
Registration with the appropriate professional regulatory body (e.g., AHPRA, AASW, ACA or PACFA)
Proven experience in providing evidence-based intervention and case management in a mental health setting.
Strong understanding of mental health diagnoses, treatment modalities, and recovery-oriented practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish therapeutic relationships.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with the latest research and best practices in mental health.
Current Blue Card and National Criminal Check.
Current Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle to assist community-based work as needed.

Desirable Criteria

Experience and preference to work with children under 12 years of age and youth metal health support.
Experience in utilising telehealth platforms for remote service delivery (desirable).
