The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, bringing strong technical skills, a proactive mindset, and a collaborative approach to improving site quality and food safety performance.
The role is a permanent night shift position working 10pm – 6am, Sunday - Thursday based at our Orchard Hills site.
What you'll be responsible for: Working closely with cross-functional stakeholders to support continuous improvement initiatives, audit readiness, and compliance with quality standards.
Supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of the site's Food Safety and Quality Management System under the guidance of the Senior Quality and Food Safety Manager and Supervisor.
Assisting with the implementation and improvement of site-wide GMP practices.
Designing, delivering, and supporting training programs related to food safety and quality systems.
Conducting internal audits and supporting external audits.
Participating in HACCP reviews and contributing to the management of food safety plans.
Managing non-conforming raw materials and finished goods.
Investigating consumer complaints and reporting on findings and corrective actions.
Reviewing and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Providing technical support and compliance guidance to the production team.
Support commissioning and set up of on-line and testing equipment Lead and analyse data trends to support root cause investigations; troubleshooting issues raised in Operations and resolving quality-related concerns in operations.
What you'll bring to the role?Tertiary qualification (e.g.
Food Science, Science or related field)At least two years' experience in a food safety or quality assurance role Practical knowledge and application of HACCP principles Experience conducting internal audits Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
