NES Fircroft is currently recruiting a Construction Engineer – Civil/Structural on behalf of our valued client, a Global Oil and Gas Operator, for an initial 12-month contract.
Position Details:

Title: Construction Engineer – Civil/Structural
Start Date: ASAP
Roster: 21/21 (11 hours)

Responsibilities:

Provide support and leadership to achieve an Incident and Injury Free Workplace through onsite engagements.
Champion workplace safety with a focus on preventing SIFs.
Share learnings related to construction and ensure safety principles are adopted with effective safeguards.
Manage interfaces between the civil construction contractor and engineering via the Technical Query process.
Understand engineering deliverables to drive efficient execution of civil works onsite.
Coordinate with Construction Engineers to develop Construction Execution plans, Scope of Works, and oversee contracts.
Maintain strong communication to ensure stakeholder alignment and update the Onsite Construction Lead on schedule and quality.
Support deployment of work processes, guidelines, policies, and standards to ensure quality and efficiency.
Collaborate with the Operations Science Analyst to maximize onsite productivity.
Identify barriers and work with relevant teams to resolve issues.

Key Skills & Experience:

5-10 years of civil engineering and construction experience in project environments.
Knowledge of civil engineering standards, principles, and concepts; broad understanding of related disciplines is advantageous.
Experience with civil scope including underground installations at Drill Centres and trenching for cable runs.
Ability to engage with high-level stakeholders and communicate project value, status, and risks effectively.
