
Manager Finance

The Manager Finance is responsible for providing assistance to the Executive Manager to ensure the Council manages its finances effectively and meets statutory requirements.
The position involves managing the operation of the Council's Store, overseeing the Revenue function, preparing annual financial statements, reviewing the financial aspects of the Operational Plan and Delivery Program, and preparing Quarterly Budget Reviews.
This role supervises the Finance Officer, Storekeepers, Payroll Officer, Revenue Coordinator, and Finance/Revenue Officer.
It serves as the principal contact for all Departments regarding internal budgets and income streams.
Ideal candidates will have a University Degree in Accounting or over five years of senior accounting experience.
Experience in preparing Annual Financial Statements, Long-term Financial Plans, and budgets, along with strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, are highly regarded.
A Class C Driver Licence is also required.
