About The Role As the Emerging Technology Lead, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating market scans, thought leadership, and evaluation of mid-to-long-term emerging digital technologies that can transform BHP's operations.
In This Role, Your Key Accountabilities Will Include
Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and explore how new digital technologies can help achieve our strategic goals.
Analyse new technologies to assess their readiness for implementation, how they can be integrated into our technology landscape, and how they enable digital strategies and asset plans.
Work across our business to co-ordinate research and evaluation of new digital technologies, as well as engagement with partners and vendors.
Contribute to a team culture that values safety, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
About You
A degree or equivalent experience in technology, engineering, or a related field.
Knowledge in current and emerging digital technologies, with insight into how they can be applied to enhance safety, productivity, and cost efficiency.
Practical understanding of the mining industry or similar sectors.
A proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in diverse teams.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence outcomes, and work effectively across different stakeholder groups.
A detail-oriented mindset, with effective problem-solving skills and a consistent track record of meeting deadlines.
