Emergency Response CoordinatorLocation: Chandala Processing Facility – Brand Highway Muchea WA (50 mins North of Perth CBD)
Contract Type: Permanent – Full time
Roster: Monday – Friday (38hr ave wk - 9 day fortnight option)
Hours: 7.00am – 4.00pm (approx.)
About the RoleWe are seeking a proactive and experienced Emergency Response Coordinator to join our Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) team at our mineral processing facility. This is a critical role focused on ensuring the site's preparedness for emergency situations and supporting a strong safety culture through collaboration, training, and continuous improvement.
Reporting to the Health & Safety Lead, key responsibilities of the role are to:
- Lead the development and execution of site-wide emergency and crisis management plans.
- Coordinate emergency scenarios and drills, including simulations with external stakeholders.
- Liaise with training providers and deliver emergency response training.
- Maintain a competency matrix and embed learnings from drills and incidents into procedures.
- Ensure all emergency vehicles & safety equipment are regularly inspected, cleaned, tested and maintained to meet operational and safety standards. (e.g., Ambulance, Fire tender SCBA units, trauma kits, confined space & working-at-height gear etc)
- Act as the first point of call in emergencies, providing initial medical triage and first aid.
- Maintain and audit medical supplies and equipment (e.g., trauma kits, defibs, oxygen).
- Conduct perimeter inspections and monitor site access and security systems.

A safety-focused professional with a calm, decisive approach and a passion for protecting people and operations.
Highly organised, with strong administrative skills and attention to detail which is essential for managing equipment, audits, training records, and compliance documentation.
Confident working independently, prioritising tasks, and maintaining readiness across multiple operational areas.
Have the confidence to deliver training and lead emergency drills, and you bring a proactive mindset to safety and emergency preparedness.
You must meet the following criteria to be eligible to apply;
- Full working rights in Australia.
- Hold an unrestricted WA driver's licence.
- Possess a current Advanced First Aid certification (HLTAID014 or equivalent).
- Relevant qualifications and certificates, such as Cert IV in Health Care, Cert IV WHS, Cert III Emergency Response, Vertical Rope Rescue, or Confined Space Rescue etc
- Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of WHS practices in operational environments.
- Prior experience in emergency response and first aid delivery, ideally within mining, heavy industry, or similar high-risk settings
