Associate Quantity Surveyor

This is a key leadership role with clear potential for progression toward Director level.
About the Role As an Associate, you'll play a pivotal role in the delivery of high-profile projects across commercial, education, health, infrastructure, and mixed-use developments.
You'll lead client engagements, mentor junior team members, and oversee the full project lifecycle from feasibility through to final account.
Key Responsibilities Lead pre- and post-contract cost management services across a portfolio of major projects Develop and maintain strong client relationships, providing strategic commercial advice Oversee the preparation of cost plans, estimates, tender reviews, and value engineering Manage and mentor a team of quantity surveyors and cadets Provide commercial oversight and reporting, ensuring financial control and project efficiency Contribute to business development and fee proposals in collaboration with directors Represent the firm in meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors Ensure compliance with internal QA systems and industry standards What We're Looking For Minimum 10 years' experience in quantity surveying, with consultancy background preferred Proven leadership in cost management and client-facing delivery Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management AIQS, RICS, or equivalent professional membership (or working toward) Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and stakeholder management Experience working on mid- to large-scale building or infrastructure projects in Australia What's on Offer Highly competitive salary package + performance incentives Leadership pathway toward Director or Equity Partner roles Diverse and complex project portfolio across WA Flexible working arrangements and supportive team culture Continued professional development and industry engagement opportunities Let's Talk For aconfidential chat, get in touch with: Julian Humphreys Senior Recruiter - Quantity Surveying 0413 955 809 Kappa Executive Search connects top talent with the best opportunities inconstruction, design, and engineering across Australia.
