Your Impact… As Head of Asset Protection, you will: Lead and mature the Group's Asset Protection strategy, ensuring alignment with brand-level operations while delivering group-wide consistency.
Act as a true strategic partner —part of our Centre of Excellence—delivering insights, solutions and leadership across loss prevention, security systems, and investigations.
Stay ahead of retail crime trends , ensuring SRG remains proactive in its use of technology, controls, and innovation.
Oversee complex investigations , assurance, online fraud management and PCI compliance activities.
Champion change and transformation , partnering closely with senior leadership (including our COO) to elevate the AP function.
Lead a team of 7+ direct reports including 5 Team Leaders, supporting their capability and development across all regions.
What You'll Be Responsible For Building and delivering a Group Loss Strategy informed by internal data and external market trends.
Ensuring robust audit coverage, investigation management , and risk mitigation frameworks across stores, supply chain, and online.
Managing security systems and third-party vendors , ensuring technology supports our evolving needs.
Driving compliance with PCI audits and incident reporting systems (ERM Protecht).
Ensuring development and operational readiness of state-based teams across Australia and New Zealand.
What We're Looking For… You're a confident leader who brings a rare blend of strategic vision and operational grit .
Your background may include retail loss prevention, risk, security or audit leadership in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.
Asset Protection Expertise: Proven experience leading asset protection or risk management in a large-scale retail, supply chain, or services business.
Transformation-Driven Mindset : A strategic thinker who can identify emerging threats, challenge legacy processes, and drive change at scale.
Commercially Savvy: Strong commercial acumen with the ability to turn data into actionable insights and influence key business decisions.
Investigation & Risk Specialist : Hands-on experience with complex investigations, audits, and security operations across multiple sites or channels.
Empowering Leadership: Proven ability to lead, coach, and inspire regional teams while effectively partnering with senior stakeholders.
Compliance & Risk Governance Knowledge: In-depth understanding of relevant legislation, risk frameworks, and evolving security technologies.
