About the Role We are seeking a motivated and community-minded Range Operator to join our friendly team at the Murray Bridge Training Area, South Australia.
This role is about more than just land and range management, it's about working together to keep our training areas safe, well-maintained, and ready for use by the Defence Forces.
You'll be supported to learn and grow in the role, with the opportunity to complete relevant training and certificates to progress to a Level 3 Range Operator.
Your work may include:

Caring for and managing the land, including grass cutting, tree removal, weed control and pest management.

Supporting emergency response activities, including firefighting when needed.

Operating and maintaining portable target systems.

Working closely with others to ensure the range is safe, secure, and operational.

Ideally, you'll bring some of the following:

Light vehicle licence (HR Truck licence, Backhoe or Plant Operator licence would be great, but not essential).

Bush firefighting qualifications (or willingness to obtain).

Map reading and navigation skills (we can train you if you're new to this).

Senior First Aid certificate (or ability to gain one).

Clear communication skills and basic computer skills (MS Office).
