About this Role:
We are seeking a motivated and community-minded Range Operator to join our team at the Murray Bridge Training Area, South Australia.
This role involves more than just land and range management – it's about working together to keep our training areas safe, well-maintained, and ready for use by Defence Forces. You'll be supported to learn and grow in the role, with opportunities to complete relevant training and certificates to progress to a Level 3 Range Operator.
Your work may include:
- Caring for and managing the land, including grass cutting, tree removal, weed control and pest management.
- Supporting emergency response activities, including firefighting when needed.
- Operating and maintaining portable target systems.
- Working closely with others to ensure the range is safe, secure, and operational.

Ideally, you'll bring some of the following:
- A light vehicle licence (HR Truck licence, Backhoe or Plant Operator licence would be great but not essential).
- Bush firefighting qualifications (or willingness to obtain).
- Map reading and navigation skills (we can train you if you're new to this).
- Senior First Aid certificate (or ability to gain one).
- Clear communication skills and basic computer skills (MS Office).
