School Infrastructure (SI) is delivering new school buildings, major upgrades and maintenance strategies to ensure every school-aged child has access to high quality education facilities at their local public school.

About the role

Provide asset services to a group of schools within the Asset Management region
Liaise with consultants, contractors and other asset management staff to support the design, development and construction phases of projects

Delivery of capital works projects and all aspects of facilities management
Support timely and effective project delivery
Scope writing, estimation of project costs and manage budgets

About you

Construction Project Management or Trade experience
Excellent customer service in dealing with key stakeholders
Knowledge in scope writing, along with the ability to estimate project costs and manage budgets
Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

Essential requirements of the role

Current and valid NSW Driver's Licence
Willingness and ability to travel across the assigned area of Asset Management of Southern NSW
Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.

Successful candidates will be required to undertake pre-employment screening for this role which includes a National Criminal History Check.

As a condition of employment, successful candidates who are not currently employed by the Department must provide a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) clearance number.
There is no requirement to renew the WWCC once it expires after five years.
Employer obligations under the WWCC will apply only for the duration of its validity, up to five years.

Candidates must have Australian work rights (citizens, permanent residents, New Zealand citizens or a valid work visa).
Ongoing (permanent) roles are open to Australian citizens and permanent residents and New Zealand citizens, while temporary roles welcome applicants with a visa.
