Step Into a Key Role in Healthcare Finance – Billing and Audit Officer Play a vital role in supporting patient care by ensuring accurate and timely billing within one of Queensland's leading health services.

Your new role:
As a Billing and Audit Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely billing practices that support effective revenue services.
You'll contribute to the smooth delivery of financial processes within Metro South Health.

• Process billing schedules, inpatient accounts, and related documentation in accordance with legislative and departmental requirements.
• Liaise with Health Funds, Medicare, and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and follow up on outstanding accounts.
• Maintain and update billing records and patient information with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Provide administrative support, data extraction, and reporting to ensure compliance and efficiency across billing systems.

You will bring strong organisational skills and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced setting.

• Ability and willingness to develop knowledge in billing systems, medical terminology, and legislative requirements.
• Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
