We are seeking an Electrical Engineering Technician to assist customers with commissioning, maintenance, repair, diagnosis, and upgrades of electrical instrumentation and electronic control systems.
The goal is to minimize customer downtime and enhance satisfaction with Endress+Hauser's instrumentation, electrical equipment, and services in a manner that is safe, efficient, and cost-effective.
Role & Responsibilities: Measure and diagnose devices to evaluate the performance of electrical instrumentation and equipment.
Plan, build, or calibrate instrumentation; perform corrective actions on electrical installations.
Analyze and assemble electronic devices based on schematics; inspect for issues.
Estimate materials and costs for replacing or installing equipment.
Create and analyze schematics; test and troubleshoot electrical installations and circuitry.
Ensure safety compliance during installation, testing, calibration, and repair of electrical systems.
Perform complex calculations, review electrical blueprints, and verify their functionality before installation.
Assess electrical grids for issues to ensure correct installation.
Handle wiring, use hand tools, and manage small components requiring manual dexterity.
Maintain knowledge of Endress+Hauser products sold and serviced in Australia.
Apply techniques and technologies relevant to process instrumentation and control industry.
Support service sales by engaging with customers onsite and via telephone.
Prepare for calibration activities, including planning, documentation, and following SOPs.
Utilize calibration systems and procedures; identify and correct measurement errors.
Record calibration data, prepare reports, and recommend standards for calibration.
Maintain calibration tools and electrical equipment in good condition.
Skills & Experience: Extensive knowledge of industrial electrical equipment and instrumentation, especially Endress+Hauser instruments.
Technical qualification with at least 2 years of field experience.
Understanding of industrial plants, electronic equipment, and process control systems.
Practical hands-on skills for site service and workshop repairs across Australia.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for customer interactions.
Supervisory skills for overseeing service work and repairs.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Electrical engineering or instrumentation technical qualification.
Valid driver's license.
