Job Title: Senior Community Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Senior Community Support Worker in Launceston, AU. This full-time role is a unique opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the lives of older people by coordinating and delivering social, emotional, and recreational support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and implement lifestyle and social care programs tailored to individual resident needs
  • Foster a supportive and engaging environment through meaningful activities and therapeutic services
  • Build positive relationships with residents, families, and the wider community
  • Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to care planning
  • Work collaboratively with the broader care team to promote holistic wellbeing

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a relevant role
  • Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle or Diploma in Leisure and Health (or willingness to obtain)
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Proficient in computer systems and information management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Understanding of aged care quality standards and person-centred care principles
  • National Police Check and appropriate working rights in Australia
