About the role As Activation Manager for Paid Search & Paid Social, you'll own end‑to‑end campaign delivery for a portfolio of growth‑oriented clients.
From building best‑in‑class account structures and automation scripts to crafting full‑funnel strategies and presenting results, you'll be the go‑to performance expert, while coaching a small team and collaborating with channel specialists across SEM, paid social, programmatic and analytics.
Roles & Responsibilities Technical implementation — 40 %Build, launch and QA search & social campaigns, audiences and conversion tracking Automate bidding, budgeting and reporting workflows using the platform and third‑party tools Conduct daily / weekly optimisations to achieve CPA, ROAS and revenue targets Troubleshoot tags, data layers and server‑side integrations (CAPI, s GTM, etc.)Translate briefs into channel strategies, roadmaps and test‑and‑learn plans Forecast spend and performance; input into annual media plans and business cases Champion creative, copy and landing‑page best practices to maximise conversion Spot trends and develop POVs on emerging platforms, formats and automation Client communication & team management — 30 %Present insights, learnings and recommendations in WIPs, QBRs and strategy sessions Manage two junior specialists: task prioritisation, coaching, performance reviews Liaise with analytics, creative and programmatic leads to ensure integrated delivery Own budget negotiations, scope conversations, and upsell opportunities with clients3‑5 years hands‑on‑keyboard in Google Ads & Meta Ads Manager within an agency or in‑house performance team Proven history of hitting CAC / ROAS / revenue goals across multiple verticals Experience mentoring or line‑managing at least one coordinator/exec Comfortable owning client conversations, from strategy pitches to budget negotiations Advanced Google Ads Editor, SA360, Meta Business Suite (advantage: Tik Tok, Linked In)Strong Excel/Sheets—including pivoting, query functions & basic scripting Familiarity with tag management (GTM) and server‑side / CAPI implementations Bonus certifications Google Ads Search Professional Meta Certified Media Buying Professional Google Marketing Platform (SA360) Certification Digital Marketing Institute or IAB Digital Media Buying & Planning Yugal Bhatia (Yoogle)ybhatia@paxus.com.au Not quite the right fit?If this role doesn't feel like the perfect match, don't worry — I'm hiring for other Marketing & Advertising positions too.
