The Lowy Institute is seeking a Research Fellow to lead the Australia-Papua New Guinea Network.
ABOUT THE ROLEThe Research Fellow is responsible for day-to-day operation of the Aus-PNG Network, a people-to-people initiative enhancing connections between Australia and Papua New Guinea.
They will contribute to the broader research and commentary of the Pacific Program at the Lowy Institute.
ABOUT YOUThe successful candidate will have excellent research, written and oral communication skills.
They will have experience in government, development or academic sectors in Papua New Guinea or Australia, and have strong familiarity with contemporary Papua New Guinea issues and opportunities.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding and knowledge of Papua New Guinea's foreign policy and strategic calculus.
They will have strong links within Papua New Guinea and Australia across government, business and academia and an international expert profile.
