The Lowy Institute is a leading international policy think tank, and we are seeking a highly skilled Research Fellow to lead our Australia-Papua New Guinea Network. This is a unique opportunity for an individual with expertise in Papua New Guinea's foreign policy and strategic calculus to contribute to the Institute's research and commentary on the Pacific region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day operation of the Aus-PNG Network, a people-to-people initiative enhancing connections between Australia and Papua New Guinea.
- Contribution to the broader research and commentary of the Pacific Program at the Lowy Institute.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent research, written, and oral communication skills.
- Experience in government, development, or academic sectors in Papua New Guinea or Australia.
- Strong familiarity with contemporary Papua New Guinea issues and opportunities.
- A deep understanding and knowledge of Papua New Guinea's foreign policy and strategic calculus.
