
Electrical, Instrumentation And Controls Designer

In this role, you'll be responsible for preparing detailed EIC deliverables for our clients and ensuring accuracy and compliance with Mipac's design standards.
Your Responsibilities Design Detail: Interpreting Engineer's conceptual designs and transforming them into detailed technical deliverables.
Drawing Preparation: Create and update electrical and control system deliverables, including Single Line Diagrams, Schematics, P&ID's, Cable Block Diagrams, Termination Diagrams, Loop Diagrams, Hookup Diagrams, Equipment BOM's, and Panel Arrangements.
Site Inspections: Conduct site inspections to gather data and verify existing drawings.
Support & Maintenance: Maintain Auto CAD infrastructure and design tool procedures, including assessing the most appropriate software and tools and driving continual improvement.
Training & Audits: Train new starters in MIPAC's Auto CAD and design tool procedures and conduct regular audits.
Team Collaboration: Work with drafters, designers, and Engineers to ensure timely project completion within budget.
Standards Compliance: Ensure consistency and compliance with design standards across Mipac and relevant Australian standards.
Auto CAD Administration: Maintain MIPAC's Auto CAD standards and library, ensuring that Client CAD standards are implemented.
About You Certificate, Diploma, or Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering (or recognized equivalent), or a relevant electrical trade background.
Demonstrated experience in electrical, instrumentation, and control design drafting.
Proficiency in CAD software such as Auto CAD (Intermediate to Advanced level).
Familiarity with design tools such as AVEVA Instrumentation and/or Eplan is desirable.
Exposure to 3 D modelling software is advantageous.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality deliverables.
Good oral communication skills for effective collaboration with engineers and design team members.
Solid computer literacy and sound mathematical skills.
Understanding of design standards and willingness to adhere to Mipac's procedures and ISO 9001 principles.
Ability to manage workload effectively and contribute to timely project delivery.
