The Role This is an exciting opportunity to build both commercial and construction experience, learn from experienced in-house counsel, and become a trusted adviser in the modular construction industry.
This is a hybrid role with a mix of in-office and work-from-home days available.
Your Impact Reporting to the Deputy General Counsel and working with senior lawyers, you will bring prior commercial legal experience, ideally in general commercial and construction law (both front-end and back-end).
Prior in-house experience is not required.
Your responsibilities include: Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial and construction contracts and tenders.
Advising on corporate, property, employment, and regulatory matters.
Providing legal input into projects and client negotiations.
Assisting with dispute resolution, compliance, investigations, and special projects.
Supporting governance activities, including exposure to board-level work.
Researching legal issues and presenting practical solutions.
Delivering legal updates and training across the organization.
Building strong relationships across the business and learning from mentors.
What We're Looking For You enjoy working in a friendly, collaborative environment and possess strong commercial acumen, professionalism, and curiosity.
Bachelor of Laws (or JD) and eligible to practice in an Australian State or Territory.
1–3 years PAE (private practice or in-house).
Foundational knowledge in commercial law with an interest in construction law.
Strong drafting, research, and analytical skills, with the ability to translate legal principles into practical guidance.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Interest in infrastructure, construction, engineering, or mining sectors is valued but not essential.
