Fin XL IT is seeking an experienced Business Designer to join our team on major program of work with a leading insurance organisation.
In this role, you'll work closely with Program, Project, and Change Managers to ensure solutions are delivered in a business and customer-centric way, balancing innovation, feasibility, and strategic alignment.
You'll play a pivotal role in designing business solutions that reflect best practice, align with enterprise architecture, and are deeply informed by customer and business insights.
Key Responsibilities Define and articulate the end-to-end business ecosystem and context for solution delivery Identify and map cross-program dependencies, synergies, and opportunities, with a focus on technology integration Ensure solutions align with the business's strategic objectives and evolving business landscape Validate that proposed business and technology changes will achieve intended outcomes Collaborate across business and IT to shape, define, and document complex solutions Apply design thinking, service design, and customer-centric methodologies to business problems Skills and Experience Required Proven experience as a Business Designer on complex, large-scale programs (ideally within general insurance organisations)Strong skills in root cause analysis, operating models, business / process architecture, and service design Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels from C-suite to SMEs and technology teams Experience designing business solutions across products, channels, value chains, and platforms Strong business partnering approach and the ability to work in cross-functional delivery environments Practical knowledge of HCD, CX, UX , and Design Thinking methodologies Tertiary qualifications in design, business, IT, or related fields Business or Process Architecture qualifications and exposure to business operations are highly desirable What's on Offer12-month initial max-term contract with strong potential for extension Sydney CBD-based opportunity with flexible hybrid working arrangements High-profile program of work within a well-respected insurance organisation Work with a supportive and collaborative delivery team through Fin XL ITWhy Fin XL IT?Fin XL IT is a leading Australian technology services consultancy, delivering high-value outcomes to enterprise and government clients.
