About The Role:As a Senior Geologist, you'll be at the heart of our projects, handling everything from client communication and project planning to budgeting and report preparation.
You will lead and mentor a team of professional geologists, providing guidance, advice, and in-house training to support their professional development and growth.
You'll also lead efforts to bring in new business, expanding our impact.
Your work will make a real difference by promoting sustainable resource management and environmental protection.
You'll tackle complex challenges with innovative solutions, inspiring your team and driving our projects to success.Supervision and Oversight: Supervise the field and office work of junior staff associated with hydrogeological investigations, environmental evaluations, and sampling Design and Technical Recommendations: Prepare detailed design recommendations for complex or unusual conditions Leadership and Staff Development: Lead teams with varying responsibilities and tasks.
Provide counsel, advice, and in-house training to individual staff.
Identify training needs Project Review and Management: Serve as an initial reviewer on selected projects as well as independently scope and budget projects and prepare proposal documents Business Development: Cultivate client relationships and assist in identifying, pursuing, and securing new project opportunities About You:You have a Bachelor's degree in Geology or a closely related technical field You have a minimum of 8 years of Geology experience You have a Professional Geologist (PG) license You have effective communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing) using the English language What to Expect:With the use of Company-provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).Outdoor, hands-on work in all weather conditions Traveling out-of-town (typically overnight) for assignments as necessary Working outside of normal business hours when necessary Grow With Us:At S&ME, your career growth matters.
