We are seeking a Senior Manager, Investigations to lead a team of workplace investigators within AV's Professional Standards & Behaviours Department (Professional Standards).
This is a Full Time, Permanent position.
While WFH/Hybrid options are available, it is essential that the successful applicant maintains a presence at Blackburn North in line with our hybrid working model.
About The Role Reporting to the Director, Professional Standards, responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Overseeing and providing expert advice to team members on initial assessments to determine whether to investigate complaints of inappropriate workplace behaviour Overseeing and managing Professional Standards' portfolio of employee investigations in accordance with AV's Enterprise Agreements, ensuring that investigations are conducted in a person-centred, trauma informed, timely, transparent and impartial manner Continuous development and improvement of investigative processes, practices and frameworks to ensure that investigations are being conducted in a timely manner and meet industry best practice standards Coaching and mentoring investigation team members in the conduct of best practice investigations, and ongoing professional development of team members Providing guidance and advice on misconduct matters to Professional Standards and AV stakeholders more broadly Providing advice to Professional Standards in relation to notifications to external bodies (e.g.) IBAC, Ahpra, Work Safe, Victoria Police where required, and engaging and working with external investigators on an as needs basis Working within Professional Standards' senior leadership team to continuously develop and implement AV's strategic plan About You To be considered for this position, you will possess qualifications in Law, Human Resources, or equivalent.
You will also have extensive relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and high-level relevant experience.
Other requirements include: Extensive relevant experience in the management, leadership and resolution of misconduct matters within a large and complex organisation Strong leadership, stakeholder management and influencing skills Highly developed written skills Significant experience conducting complex, sensitive, person centred, trauma informed workplace investigations, with a sound ability to interpret relevant policy, procedures, guidelines and legislation Working at Ambulance Victoria As a valued member of AV, you will enjoy a professional working environment that recognises the importance of work/life balance.
