The Principal reports to the President of the Board and is responsible for the educational leadership, operational oversight and strategic direction of the School.
The Principal provides collaborative, visible and authentic leadership, advances the Montessori philosophy, manages the Education Program, supports a high-performing team, and cultivates strong relationships with students, staff, families and the wider community.
The Principal will build trust through integrity, effective communication and strong relationships.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
Willingness and commitment to uphold and promote the Montessori philosophy and child-centred learning.
Senior leadership experience in a school setting, including pre-school and primary education, with proven operational capabilities and change management skills.
Ability to think creatively and innovatively and enrich an existing culture of excellence in teaching and learning.
Deep commitment to the wellbeing, growth and capability of students and staff.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to engage and collaborate effectively with the whole school community.
Financial acumen and an ability to work collaboratively with a School Board to develop and deliver on strategic priorities.
Offered as a full-time, permanent position, applicants must have the right to work in Australia and hold relevant teaching qualifications.
Post-graduate qualifications in education or leadership, and previous experience in Montessori education will be highly regarded, but not essential.
