Job Title: Family Wellbeing Officer - ACCHO - Ravenshoe, Far North Queensland.
Job Type: Full-time contract role until 31st December 2027.

Position Description: The purpose of the position is to manage a caseload of families and deliver interventions in accordance with approved case management protocols to enhance the capacity of a family to keep their children safely at home.
The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Family Wellbeing Service will work with families with children that are subject to ongoing intervention by Child Safety Services or require early intervention responses that prevent children from entering the statutory child protection system.
The Family Wellbeing Officer role is an Identified position.
It is a genuine occupational requirement that an Identified position be filled by an Aboriginal person or Torres Strait Islander person, as permitted by and arguable under section 25, 104 and 105 of the Queensland Anti-Discrimination Act (1991).
Please note this is a Fixed Term contract with an end date 31st December 2027 Responsibilities:
Provide support and culturally appropriate intervention strategies to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and families
Undertake assessments and interventions in accordance with approved case management protocols
Monitor and review agreed case plan goals and responsibilities with clients
Advocate on behalf of clients and provide support to achieve case plan goals
Implement regular case review conferences, case evaluation and client exit strategies
Develop and maintain working relationships with service providers to enable shared case management, referral pathways and ongoing support for clients after exiting the Service
Gather and record statistical data relevant to measuring performance against agreed indicators and participate in review and evaluation activities
Qualifications & Experience:
Qualification/ Certificate in Certificate IV in Community Services (Protective Care), Diploma in Community Services and or ability to obtain
Possess a current driver's licence
Possess, or be eligible for, a Blue Card (for suitability to work with children and young people)
Consent to a broader criminal history check, where relevant
Current First Aide Certificate and or ability to obtain prior to start date
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENTEmployment is conditional upon the following:
Vaccination or confirmed non-susceptibility to Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPDs) during employment, including measles, mumps, Rubella (MMR), Varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Pertussis (whooping cough) and strongly recommended to be vaccinated against Covid-19.
Proof of qualifications and current registration (where appropriate) claimed in a job application must be provided prior to commencement of employment.
A Criminal History Check (AFP) will be conducted upon commencement of employment
Ability and willingness to travel to, and work at all Mamu Health Service Limited's work location and service area when required.
