Join the Synthetix Core Contributor community as the Head of Marketing and lead the charge in defining and executing the marketing vision for one of De Fi's most innovative protocols.
This role is in-person, based in Sydney, Australia, and requires relocation if not currently located there.Synthetix is an open-source derivatives liquidity protocol on Ethereum, Optimism, and Base, enabling collateral on-chain to back stablecoins, spot synthetic assets, perpetual futures markets, and more.
With over $60 B in volume generated through Synthetix Perps and rapid scaling through cross-chain deployments, the protocol is at the forefront of decentralized finance innovation.As the Head of Marketing, you will spearhead the strategy, branding, and messaging efforts that drive Synthetix's growth, foster community trust, and solidify its position as a leader in decentralized finance.
You will lead a talented marketing team and work cross-functionally with the protocol's ecosystem projects and core contributors to execute impactful initiatives that resonate globally.We operate with startup values - moving quickly, testing iteratively, and automating whenever possible.
As the Head of Marketing, you'll have the autonomy to innovate while being a part of a collaborative, mission-driven team.
Key Responsibilities Develop and own the overarching marketing strategy to support Synthetix's mission and growth objectives.Establish and refine the Synthetix brand, ensuring it reflects the protocol's values and resonates with its target audiences.Build and manage a high-performing marketing team, providing mentorship and guidance to drive excellence.Oversee content strategy, public relations, and social media to amplify Synthetix's voice across the De Fi ecosystem.Collaborate closely with ecosystem projects and partners to drive awareness and engagement across the broader Synthetix ecosystem.Identify and act on market trends, community insights, and emerging opportunities to position Synthetix as an innovator in De Fi.Define and track KPIs to measure the success of marketing initiatives, optimizing campaigns for maximum impact.
Ideal Candidate has: 7+ years of experience in marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, preferably in blockchain, fintech, or technology.Strong understanding of decentralized finance, blockchain technology, and the Ethereum ecosystem.Proven success in creating and executing marketing strategies that deliver measurable results.Exceptional leadership skills with experience managing and scaling marketing teams.Ability to craft compelling narratives and simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences.Data-driven mindset with expertise in analyzing performance metrics and optimizing strategies.Entrepreneurial attitude with a passion for startups, innovation, and the evolving world of crypto.Marketing experience in crypto is an advantage.
