An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and suitably qualified Allied Health Assistant to join the multidisciplinary In Reach Rehabilitation team which provides rehabilitation to patients in the acute setting at Royal North Shore Hospital.

We are committed to ensure that all our people feel respected and participate safely within a work environment without aggression, sexual harassment, discrimination and racism Where you'll be working In Reach Rehabilitation team, Royal North Shore Hospital What You'll Be Doing An Allied Health Assistant (AHA) engages in basic patient care, clinical duties and/or administrative support under the supervision of the designated Allied Health Professional (AHP).

Clinical duties may include therapeutic and program related activities and the identification and reporting of changes in the client's condition.

The Allied Health Assistant may be engaged to work in a discipline specific area or assist in the delivery of allied health services across a multi-disciplinary team.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates Will Need To Meet The Following Criteria Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance or willingness to undertake this training or other qualification deemed equivalent by NSLHD.

Demonstrate an understanding of the role of an Allied Health Assistant within a large organisation.

Ability to work independently under the delegation of an AHP and the ability to collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team.

Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage workload demands and complete activities (including ability to work within scope of practice and seek assistance when required) as delegated by supervising AHP.
