You'll guide and mentor people leaders, lead key projects, and be the go-to expert for your designated directorate in providing operational and strategic WHS advice.
You'll work closely with business units to deliver practical, outcome-focused solutions that make safety real, visible and valued.
Your influence will help drive continuous improvement, build leadership capability, and ensure the City meets its duty of care with confidence and clarity.
What You'll Be Doing Lead and coordinate key WHS projects and initiatives Support the implementation of WHS strategy and framework Provide expert advice on WHS systems, contractor management, and injury management Coach and mentor people leaders Drive continuous improvement and risk management Collaborate with People Business Partners and contribute to broader HR programs Build strong relationships across the City and influence positive safety outcomes What You'll Bring We're looking for a qualified and experienced WHS professional who's passionate about supporting the team in creating safe, healthy, and sustainable workplaces.
You'll ideally bring: Certificate IV in WHS (minimum)Broad experience in WHS roles within large, diverse organisations Strong understanding of WHS legislation and practical application Experience in workers' compensation and return-to-work planning High-level communication and stakeholder engagement skills Proven ability to lead projects from end-to-end, including coordinating teams ICAM investigation training (desirable)Why You'll Love Working Here Work Your Way Flex your schedule with 9-day fortnights, WFH options, and phased retirement.
