Key Responsibilities Our APAC Hydrology and Hydrogeology Team consists of over 50 professionals and is core to our business.
We have created this role as a result of growth, opening up further opportunities to expand and invest.
This new role is for a QLD hydrogeology state lead, managing our Brisbane and Townsville staff and seeking further opportunities to grow (13 people).
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with our national groundwater modelling team lead and other state leaders in groundwater and surface water to deliver solutions for our clients.
Additionally, the candidate will work directly with the Technical Discipline Manager (TDM) and Hydrogeology Technical Directors to implement our business plan that aligns with our global strategic priorities.
We have a solid backlog and pipeline of work thanks to our focus on technical excellence, practical solutions and strong client relationships.
Our Ideal Candidate We are looking for a groundwater leader with excellent team coordination and management skills, who knows how to motivate staff and develop their careers.
You will have excellent client relationships and strong commercial acumen.

We are open to investing in future leaders who have the technical hydrogeology experience but are early in their people management career, as well as experienced leaders looking for a change.
To be successful in this role you will need: 7-20 years of industry experience as a hydrogeologist, including consultancy experience An appropriate Engineering or Science tertiary qualification A strong technical background in hydrogeological conceptualisation, groundwater impact assessment, and hydrogeological investigation A thorough understanding of QLD groundwater legislation and guidelines related to resource development and infrastructure projects A strong commitment to Health and Safety Demonstrated experience managing and delivering large technical projects Excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivation, and ability to work effectively within a team Excellent communication and technical report writing skills Experience mentoring junior staff in preparing quality reports on time and within budget Experience collaborating with groundwater modelling technical staff to deliver project solutions A strong track record in building and maintaining client relationships Australia Citizenship or rights to work in Australia Excellent driving history and hold a current driver's license Our Benefits We are proud of our unique culture where we work together to collaborate on projects to get the best possible outcome for our clients.
